Hi, I am in the outpatient treatment program and I find it very helpful. It was court ordered of course, so I was upset at first like almost anybody would be. Also, I’ve never trusted anyone with my feelings and opinions when it came to my alcohol abuse, but the gentlemen that runs it is an amazing guy who is understanding and lets you vent without judgement and is a great teacher! I feel very comfortable there! It’ll be a while yet till I am finished with the program, but I recommend this establishment for anyone who needs it!

I have attended the Care in Anoka twice as a step down program from private inpatient treatments. My experience with treatment is that it is what you make it. If you don't want to be there and don't want to be clean, you will hate the experience regardless of where you go. Thus, you will write a negative review. It does have a mental hospital feel, but for me, that was fairly cool, though I was not locked in at anytime. The counselor Chuck and an intern, either Collette, Coleen, or something like that, were knowledgeable enough and it was evident that they truly cared and wanted clients to have "AHA" moments and long-term sobriety. Again, recovery is up to the individual, with counselors pointing you in the right direction. My guess is that if a person hated treatment that bad, it was not the treatment that was lacking, but rather themselves and their own misery that they truly hate. I hope the one star gentleman can get over this and start finding the positives that are all around us, rather than focusing on the negatives. The only criticism of the program that I have is that the second time through the program, there were not as many people per session, as I would like. In fact there were a couple of sessions where I was the only client. Even this was ok, however, as a 1:1 session with either Chuck or Colleen or Collette was always interesting, thoughtful, and helpful.

My experience with community addiction recovery enterprise Outpatient treatment was very good. I found it very helpful, people working there were knowledgeable, and seem to really care about people that they were helping. They also had a great sense of humor which made me feel more comfortable and lessened my anxiety. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking outpatient treatment. I know a few people that have gone through the Inpatient committed treatment program there. Most people in general don't like to be committed to any kind of a treatment program by the courts against their will. I have heard good comments about the staff working there who seem to go out of their way to make the best of an uncomfortable situation for people that are committed there against their will.
